Before you switch
Clear answers about payments, product fit, contracts, and your data.
Yes. Export your data and send your tenant list, units, and current balances. We help move that operating data into Stowlane so you do not have to start from scratch.
Yes. You connect your own Stripe account, remain the merchant of record, and receive payouts directly to your bank. Stowlane is not in the middle of your money.
No. Stowlane does not bundle insurance or require tenants to enroll. Protection remains optional if you choose to offer it.
Yes, when the live demo is available. It opens a sandbox facility with sample data after a short email verification, without creating a paid Stowlane account.
No. If you can use a phone, you can run Stowlane. Add your units, connect Stripe, and you're going — no training session, no IT person.
Stowlane runs the payments for you through Stripe — you set up your account in a few minutes right inside the app, no separate processor to deal with. You're the merchant: money is paid out straight to your bank. If you want card processing covered, you post the card price and give a discount to tenants who pay by cash, check, or bank transfer. That's legal on every card, including debit — unlike adding a fee at checkout. No forced insurance, and we don't lock you in.
You do — you're the merchant of record, like any business that takes cards. If a tenant disputes a charge or you issue a refund, it comes out of your balance, along with the standard dispute fee. Stowlane never marks that up or adds a fee of our own — we're not in the middle of your money.
No long-term contract. It's a simple monthly price based on your unit count, and you can cancel anytime. Your data stays yours.
That's the idea. Switch off anything you don't need so every screen stays clean. Your price is based on your unit count, not how many features you turn on.
By card or bank, from a simple page on their phone — one-time or on autopay. You can post the card price so processing doesn't come out of your rent; tenants who pay by bank transfer, cash, or check see a discounted price instead. Nothing is ever added at checkout.
Yes. Your tenants, units, and balances belong to you. If you ever leave, you take your data with you.
